Learn how to make the creamiest, tangiest homemade hummus by cooking dried chickpeas a certain way and then spicing them up with Hoff's Dirty Dust Seasoning Salt. Avoid the extra salt, artificial ingredients, and preservatives in store bought hummus and make it at home!
½ lb. dried chickpeas, rinsed and sorted
7 cups + 3/4 cups water
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
2 cloves minced garlic
1 TBLS Hoff’s Dirty Dust Seasoning Salt
5 TBLS fresh squeezed lemon juice
⅓ cup tahini

Put dried chickpeas, 7 cups of water, salt, and baking soda in a crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours or 9 hours on low. Drain chickpeas.

Add cooked and strained chickpeas in a blender or food processor along with garlic and Dirty Dust Seasoning Salt. Blend for about 15 seconds, then scrape down the sides and process for another 15 seconds.

Add lemon juice, olive oil and ¾ cups of water. Blend for another 20 seconds and then add tahini. Continue blending for at least a minute for a super creamy consistency.

Top with more olive oil, parsley and Dirty Dust!
